Pedestrian Killed By Out-Of-Control Hit & Run Driver | Houston
A HPD officer was doing a routine patrol when he heard a crash. He located a Charger on its roof. It was reported a Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Clearwood St. The driver lost control and struck a light pole before flipping the car and hitting a female pedestrian that was crossing the roadway. The female pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by HFD. There was three passengers and a female driver in the vehicle. The passengers remained at the scene with no injuries. The driver, described as Hispanic female in her 30’s, fled on foot. The passengers are stating they just met her tonight at a club and they don’t know who she is. The vehicle doesn’t belong to the driver. The passengers don’t know who the vehicle belongs to but they don’t believe it’s stolen. At this time the investigation is on going.
