Pedestrian Hit and Killed by RTA Bus

According to the Riverside Police Department, PIO Ryan Railsback, at around 4:19 p.m., officers with the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of a RTA (Riverside Transit Authority) bus that collided with a pedestrian on Chicago Avenue near 12th Street. Officers arrived and began life-saving measures on the pedestrian, who was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The pedestrian died a short time later at the hospital. He was a male in his 30’s.
