DETAILS:

1. pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on the 710 north transition from the 405 north
2. Long Beach Fire, and CHP confirmed the pedestrian was deceased on scene
3. a child was inside the vehicle during the collision, no injuries were reported in the vehicle
4. CHP is remaining on scene and conducting a full investigation
5. The transition lanes and Pacific Avenue on-ramp remain closed for an unknown duration
