Pedestrian Dead in Hit and Run

LOCATION: Fashion Island Boulevard and South Norfolk Street
AREA/CITY: San Mateo
DETAILS:
- Police, Fire, and EMS responded to reports of a subject lying in the bike lane.
- Upon arrival, officers located a subject with no pulse and bleeding from the head. Officers began CPR.
- Officers determined that a hit-and-run collision had occurred and began canvassing the area for surveillance footage.
- The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
- Police are continuing to investigate, awaiting further information from San Mateo PD PIO.
