- First responders responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
- Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive female bleeding from the head, as well as an injured dog.
- Emergency Personnel requested an air ambulance due to the severity of the injuries, but they determined that ground transport would be quicker.
- The victim was transported to a local trauma center with a faint pulse and agonal breathing.
- The driver of the vehicle was detained by officers and transported to the police department for an alcohol blood draw.
- During the investigation, a subject entered the crime scene to take photos and refused to leave upon the officers’ request. Officers had to move the subject out of the scene before he eventually complied.
