Passenger Trapped After Pursuit Ends In Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: Saturday, 7/6/24 at approximately 9:01pm
LOCATION: Carson St & Clark Ave
AREA/CITY: Long Beach, CA
DETAILS:

 

  1. (First clip: Female suspect handcuffed in gurney, being transported) 
  2. LBPD tried completing a traffic stop on a grey SUV when the female suspect, accompanied by a female passenger, “failed to yield” to LBPD, initiating a pursuit in the city.
  3. The female suspect fled from authorities at excess speeds of over 60mph.
  4. The suspect vehicle crashed into an innocent driver by a park and Long Beach City college, sending the innocent driver’s truck to land on a resident’s porch.
  5. The suspect vehicle had a female passenger trapped inside, and LBFD had to use the jaws of life to extricate the female from the vehicle. And was transported in stable but serious condition.
  6. The female suspect driver was transported with moderate injuries to a local hospital.
  7. An innocent driver of the truck was accessed by LBFD and transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries as well in stable condition.
  8. LBPD is investigating.
