Pasadena: Man Impaled By Pole After Crash

12.22.2018 | 2:20 AM | PASADENA – A man was impaled by a pole after a serious crash, Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision on the eastbound SH-225 freeway at Scarborough around 2:20 AM.

Units arriving on scene of the crash discovered an approximately 20-year-old male driver who had been impaled by a pole as a result of the crash.

Firefighters worked for nearly an hour to cut the man free from the pole which was still impaled in his body.

A LifeFlight helicopter responded to the scene and transported the man and a portion of rod that was still impaled in his body to an area hospital.

Police are on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
