- The south side of the fire made a heavy impact on highway 32 and claimed multiple structures as the fire tore out of Big Chico Creek Canyon.
- Dozens of engine poured into the area to try and protect the neighborhoods and were successful at many homes but homes were still lost to the fire.
- The main fire activity is not on highway 32 but remains up cohasset rd to the east as a massive pyrocumulous smoke column dominates the fires behavior.
- The current size of the fire is mapped at 125 thousand acres.
