Paramount: Man Struck, Killed On Freeway

05.02.2020 | 8:50 PM | PARAMOUNT – A man in his 40s was dead after being struck by at least one vehicle while walking in lanes on a freeway, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle on the southbound I-710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard around 8:53 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male in his 40s down in lanes suffering from major trauma and two vehicles stopped nearby.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the male deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate several vehicles struck the pedestrian however it was unknown if those vehicles stopped.

All southbound lanes were closed until further notice while authorities investigated.
