Pantless Suspect Barricades Himself After Pursuit

10.14.2020 | 1:00 AM | HOUSTON – DPS attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in Huntsville. The suspect failed to stop for DPS troopers and a pursuit ensued.

The suspect was reported to be armed and may want suicide by cop. The pursuit headed south on the 45 freeway.

Troopers were able to pit the suspect near W Rittenhouse St. The suspect then spun out in the grass between the main lanes and service rd of the north freeway.

After about a 20 minute stand off the suspect continued south on the service road before parking behind a hotel in a large parking lot at Parker Rd.

HCSO SWAT assisted DPS. He exited the vehicle then re-entered the vehicle. Around 4:40 am authorities took the man into custody.
