Palmdale: Shooting Leaves Man Dead

08.10.2020 | 8:51 PM | PALMDALE – A shooting left one person dead near an apartment complex, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a man with a gun that was later upgraded to a reported shooting victim down in the 38200 block of Division Street around 8:51 PM.

Units arriving on scene found an adult male down suffering from a gunshot wound near an apartment complex.

First responders initiated CPR in attempt to revive the man while he was rushed to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Deputies detained one man at gunpoint but it was unclear if he was the shooter.

An investigation is ongoing and no suspect information or motive was immediately released.
