Palm Tree Crushes Car With Occupants Inside

At approximately 9:45 a.m. on December 29th, 2025, first responders across Anaheim and Buena Park responded to multiple wind-related incidents caused by strong gusts impacting the area.

In Anaheim, firefighters with the Anaheim Fire & Rescue and Anaheim Police responded after a palm tree fell onto a Tesla near Disney Way and Anaheim Boulevard. Authorities stated two women were inside the vehicle at the time and had been stopped at a red light when the tree collapsed. One woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as unknown, while the second occupant was not injured. The roadway was temporarily closed as crews worked to remove the tree.

In a separate incident in Buena Park, firefighters with the Orange County Fire Authority and Buena Park Police responded after a canopy was blown into high-tension power lines behind a residence on San Rafael Drive. As a precaution, the home was evacuated while crews awaited utility personnel to secure power before removing the canopy. No injuries were reported in that incident.

Officials urged residents to use caution as windy conditions continued throughout the region.
