Pacoima: Stolen U-Haul Truck Spiked By Officers During Pursuit
06.02.2020 | 2:45 AM | LOS ANGELES – A suspect who rammed a police vehicle with a stolen U-Haul truck was taken into custody after a successful spike struck deployment, early Tuesday morning.
Authorities attempted to stop a U-Haul truck that had been reported stolen while on patrol in the Van Nuys area around 2:45 AM.
The driver of the U-Haul truck failed to yield to officers prompting a pursuit.
At one point the suspect rammed a police vehicle before officers deployed four seperate spike strips that disabled each of the truck’s tires.
Once stopped near the intersection of Garber Street and Dehaven Avenue in the Pacoima area the suspect surrendered without further incident.
