Pacoima: Police Backup Firefighters After Man Pulls Knife

07.26.2020 | 11:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – Police responded after firefighters were met by a man with a knife while responding to a medical call, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a fall near the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Fox in the Pacoima area around 11:00 PM.

Firefighters arriving on scene located a man with a knife acting aggressively and asked for police assistance.

The subject refused to comply with officers and was later detained using less-lethal ammunition and tasers.

Firefighters transported the man and another victim to Holy Cross Hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
