Pacoima: Pedestrian Critically Injured By Hit & Run Driver

10.20.2019 | 12:07 AM | LOS ANGELES – A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 9800 block of San Fernando Road in the Pacoima area around 12:07 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a male pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from serious injuries and learned that the vehicle that struck the man had fled the scene.

Firefighter paramedics treated the victim on scene before transporting him to an area hospital with critical injuries.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian is believed to be a black SUV with a broken front windshield that fled the scene without stopping to render air.

An investigation is ongoing.
