Pacoima: Man In Critical Condition After Being Shot Near Middle School

01.30.2020 | 9:20 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot near a middle school, Thursday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down outside the Maclay Middle School located in near the intersection of Pierce Street and Borden Avenue in the Pacoima area around 9:20 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a male victim down suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in critical condition.

Officers cordoned off the scene of the shooting and were searching for a suspect who was described only as a hispanic male wearing dark clothing.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
