Pacoima: Firefighter Douse Recycling Yard Fire

05.29.2020 | 1:35 AM | LOS ANGELES – A fire that broke out at a recycling yard was quickly doused, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fire burning at a recycling yard located in the 12200 block of Branford Street in the Pacoima area around 1:35 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a pile of old cars and other scraps engulfed in flames and quickly began efforts to douse the flames with water.

Firefighters extinguished the bulk of the flames but remained on scene to extinguish any remaining hot spots buried underneath the rubble.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
