Pacoima: Crews Quickly Extinguish Freeway Brush Fire

02.27.2020 | 3:37 AM | LOS ANGELES – A brush fire burning alongside a busy freeway was quickly extinguished, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fire burning along the southbound I-5 Freeway around Paxton Street in the Pacoima area around 3:37 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a quarter-acre brush fire burning near the off ramp and began to doise the blaze.

Within 20 minutes the bulk of the fire was extinguished.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
