Oxnard: SWAT Officers Gas Out Burglary Suspect
06.17.2019 | 1:13 AM | OXNARD – A commercial burglary suspect was in-custody after being gassed out of a convenience by SWAT officers, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a commercial burglary in-progress at a convenience store located in the 1600 block of South Oxnard Boulevard around 1:13 AM.
Units arriving on scene could hear objects being broken inside the business and requested additional resources to establish a perimeter around the location.
One surrounded officers demanded the suspect exit the building however the individual inside failed to comply prompting a standoff situation.
The four-hour incident culminated when SWAT officers responded to the scene and gassed out the suspect with the assistance of a police K9.
The 18-year-old suspect was identified as Frankie Lindsey and taken into custody on suspicion of assault on a police dog, resisting arrest, and commercial burglary.
