Oxnard: Shooting Leaves Man Dead

01.05.2020 | 9:40 PM | OXNARD – A man was dead after being gunned down, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 200 block of South Marquita Street around 9:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a 22-year-old Hispanic male down suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics transported the victim to the Ventura County Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Unconfirmed reports indicate the victim was struck by a shotgun round.

No suspect description or motive was immediately available.
