Oxnard: Pursuit Ends With Arrest Of Suspected DUI Driver

06.25.2020 | 11:35 PM | OXNARD – A suspected DUI driver was taken into custody after leading officers on a high-speed pursuit, late Thursday night.

Deputies attempted to stop the driver of a white SUV traveling northbound on the US-101 Freeway near Wendy Road on suspicion of driving under the influence around 11:35 PM.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers and sped off initiating a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds over 100 MPH.

The chase ended when the suspect exited at Vineyard Avenue and turned came to a stop in the 200 block of West Robert Avenue.

Authorities took the man into custody without further incident.
