Oxnard: Pallet Fire Breaks Out Next To Strawberry Processing Plant

03.22.2019 | 10:23 PM | OXNARD – Firefighters battled a cache of pallets that caught fire adjacent to a commercial building, Friday night.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire outside a strawberry processing plant in the 1100 block of Mercantile Street around 10:23 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located a large cache of pallets that had caught fire and was burning next to a building.

It took firefighters approximately 45 minutes to extinguish the flames which were contained from spreading.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
