Oxnard: Mobile Home Fire Leaves One Dead

07.18.2020 | 11:29 PM | OXNARD – A mobile home fire left one person dead, late Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 400 block of Borrego Avenue around 11:29 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a mobile home engulfed in flames and learned one person was trapped inside.

Firefighters entered the structure and rescued one person while working to extinguish the blaze.

The victim that was rescued was pronounced deceased on scene despite the efforts of first responders.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
