Oxnard: Man Dead After Being Gunned Down

01.01.2019 | 8:00 PM | OXNARD – A man was dead after being gunned down by suspects who remain at large, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 1400 block of West Date Street around 8:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male subject down suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the downed victim deceased on scene.

Police cordoned off the area while they investigated the shooting.

Witnesses reported seeing a man and woman flee on foot shortly after the shooting occurred.
