Oxnard: Man Crashes While Fleeing From Police

12.15.2018 | 1:15 AM | OXNARD – A man who tried to evade police was hospitalized after he crashed into a pole, Saturday morning.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Wooley Road.

The driver of the suspect vehicle took off from officers and turned eastbound onto Wooley Road at a high rate of speed before crashing into a traffic signal pole at Pacific Avenue.

Officers quickly detained the suspect without incident and requested firefighter paramedics to the scene.

Firefighter paramedics treated the suspect on scene and transported him to an area hospital in unknown condition.
