Oxnard: Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Freeway

03.06.2019 | 8:48 PM | OXNARD – Authorities are investigating after a woman was struck and killed while walking on a freeway, Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the reported crash involving a pedestrian on the northbound I-101 Freeway just south of Johnson Drive around 8:48 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a female in the roadway and pronounced her deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian pulled over and remained on scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

All northbound lanes of the I-101 were closed while police investigated the crash.
