Oxnard: CHP Officers Discover Man Starting Fire Near Railroad Tracks
11.10.2019 | 12:09 AM | OXNARD – A man who admitted to using methamphetamines was found by officers starting a fire, early Sunday morning.
Officers on patrol discovered a man starting a fire near railroad tracks at the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Gonzales Road around 12:09 AM.
The officers instructed the man to extinguish the fire but he refused.
Firefighters responded to the scene and snuffed out the blaze.
Local police responded to take over the investigation and learned the man had been under the influence of methamphetamine at the time.
The suspect was instructed to leave the area but was not charged with a crime.
