Oxnard: Carport Fire Spreads To Apartments

07.02.2019 | 2:39 AM | OXNARD – A carport fire destroyed cars and damaged several apartments, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a carport fire with two several vehicles fully engulfed in the 1100 block of North H Street around 2:39 AM.

Crews arriving on scene locate a carport engulfed with flames spreading to several nearby apartments.

Firefighters quickly doused the blaze in under 30 minutes, preventing further damage to nearby apartments.

Both vehicles and the carport were considered total losses.

Damage to the nearby apartments displaced at least two adults and one domestic animal.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
