Oxnard: Car Fire Threatens Nearby Building, Box Truck

03.17.2020 | 1:46 AM | OXNARD – A car fire is under investigation after flames from the fire damaged a nearby box truck and threatened a structure, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a car fire near a building in the 900 block of North M Street around 1:46 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle engulfed in heavy fire next to a box truck and a building.

Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the flames from the vehicle fire and to prevent the spread of flames that quickly damaged the box truck.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in minutes and protected the building from damage.

The box truck suffered minor damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
