Overturned Semi Causes A Major Backup On The 215 Interchange

INCIDENT DATE/TIME:1-19-24, 8:13 p.m.
LOCATION: Sr91 E At / I215
AREA/CITY: Riverside
DETAILS:

1. Riverside Fire Department and California Highway Patrol, Riverside Office responded to reports of an overturned semi.
2. When units arrived on scene, they found a semi that had apparently taken a turn too fast getting onto the NB 215 and overturned.
3. CHP issued a Sig alert, causing major back ups/delays on the 91/NB215 back for miles.
4. A few minutes later on the same stretch of freeway a semi hit a pedestrian walking on the shoulder killing them.
5. The EB 91 is backed up for miles while CHP investigates these two incidents on a busy Friday night on the roads in the IE
