Overnight Shooting Leaves One Dead in LA

DETAILS:

1. A man was shot and killed while sitting in his pick-up truck located inside a parking lot on the Southwest corner of 79th St and Figueroa St.
2. Bullet casings were scattered on the ground next to the truck.
3. It appears someone walked up to the man sitting and opened fire, killing the victim.
4. A taco stand adjacent to the scene was in operation at the time.
5. LAPD detectives were at the scene investigating.
6. The medical examiner’s office arrived to take custody of the deceased.
7. Unknown if they have any leads on the shooter.
