Orange: Father Arrested After Child Survives Fall From Balcony

04.02.2020 | 10:30 PM | ORANGE – A father was under arrest after his young child survived a fall from a third-story balcony, early Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a child that had fallen from a third-story balcony and was discovered by a neighbor at the Renaissance at Uptown Orange apartment complex located in the 3000 block of West Chapman avenue around 10:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a neighbor had discovered the child on his second-floor balcony after it apparently fell from the balcony above.

Officers eventually located the father of the child and placed him under arrest on suspicion of child endangerment.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene to treat the young child who did not appear seriously injured.

Additional details regarding the incident were not immediately released.
