Orange: Bicyclist Dies After Being Stabbed
09.26.2019 | 10:25 PM | ORANGE – An investigation is underway after a bicyclist was stabbed to death, Thursday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a bicyclist down suffering from lacerations near a church in the 1000 block of North Batavia Street around 10:25 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a bicyclist down suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Firefighter paramedics treated the victim on scene before transporting him to an area hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Initial reports indicate that a group of churchgoers was leaving their church when they encountered the victim who collapsed in front of them.
The churchgoers provided called for assistance while providing first aid to the victim.
It was believed the man was stabbed elsewhere and ride his bicycle in search of help.
No suspect description or motive was immediately available.
