Orange: Anaheim Firefighter Battling COVID-19 Released From Hospital

06.27.2020 | 5:30 PM | ORANGE – A firefighter was released from an intensive care unit after a long battle with COVID-19, Saturday evening.

Anaheim Fire & Rescue captain Joseph “Joe” Aldecoa was one of seven firefighters who contracted COVID-19 about a month ago.

Aldecoa was hospitalized at UCI Medical Center’s intensive care unit for nearly a month as he recovered from COVID-19.

A group of community members, medical staff, and fellow firefighters gathered to greet Aldecoa as he was transported via ambulance to his home.
