Ontario: Suspicious Fire Burns Parked Big Rig
04.07.2020 | 8:15 PM | ONTARIO – A suspicious fire destroyed a parked big rig, Tuesday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the yard of DLA Trucking located in the 13000 block of South Bon View Avenue around 8:15 PM.
Units arriving on scene located one of several parked big rigs engulfed in flames.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack but could not locate a fire hydrant and were limited on water.
Water tenders responded to assist the firefight which lasted nearly an hour and left the involved big rig destroyed.
Several other big rigs parked nearby were spared thanks to the firefighters aggressive efforts.
No injuries were reported but witnesses said they saw a man loitering near the big rig prior to the fire.
Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire, arson investigators are responding to the scene.
