The Corona Fire Department is on the scene of an aircraft down with a vegetation fire at Auburndale and Rincon. Multiple units are responding. Please avoid the area while crews are working.

The vegetation fire has been knocked down. CFD reports of 1 single engine plane down and checking on injuries. Auburndale will be closed between Rincon and Palos Verde Dr until further notice.

Confirmed 1 deceased person in the plane.

Multiple CFD units are being released. CFD and CPD will remain on the scene. The area will remain closed for some time.
- Corona Police Department, Corona Fire Department, and Cal Fire, Riverside County, responded to reports of a tree fire.
- Soon after, they began receiving reports of an airplane down in the same area.
- When units arrived on the scene, they found one small airplane in a tree and on fire.
- Firefighters quickly got the fire out.
