One Killed, Two Injured in Phoenix Crash

Phoenix Police and Fire along with DPS responded to a traffic collision that occurred in the intersection of 51st Ave and I-10 at the northern traffic light around 10:15 p.m. Monday evening.

Upon arrival, they located a two vehicle collision involving a Chrysler 300 and a semi truck cab.

During the collision one of the vehicles severed a traffic light from the ground and knocked out power to the area.

According to Phoenix Fire radio traffic:

Two people were trapped inside of the Chrysler and required to be extricated.

At least two people were transported to local hospitals and a third person was pronounced deceased on scene.

Police and troopers closed all traffic at 51st Ave at the intersection and blocked the westbound I-10 exit ramp to 51st Ave.
