On 10/21/2024, at around 10:18 PM, Westminster Officers responded to the area of Westminster Blvd. and Yockey St. in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject down in the east bound lanes of Westminster Blvd. Officers along with personnel from the Orange County Fire Authority performed life-saving measures on the male subject; however, he was eventually pronounced deceased at the scene. The vehicle involved had fled prior to officers’ arrival. The suspect vehicle was described as a newer model, dark colored sedan last seen east bound on Westminster. The Westminster Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is currently on scene handling the investigation.
