One Killed & Another Injured During Shooting
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1030 am 1-21-24
LOCATION: 22720 Imperial Valley
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:
- HCSO was dispatched to an in progress call
- numerous calls came in from the area advising there was a shooting in progress
- Arriving deputies located 2 people shot
- female pronounced deceased at scene
- second person (male) transported in serious condition to a nearby hospital
- prelim info- Male and female arrived to the apartment complex and began banging on a residence
- It appears they may have tried to gain access to an apartment
- The party inside the location opened the door to find out what was going on and an altercation ensued between 2 males
- the male from outside and the male from inside the residence began fighting, and the female from inside the residence then produced a pistol and shot both the male and female who came to the apartment
- An adult male and 2 children were also inside the apartment. the children were unharmed, and the adult is being evaluated fro an unrelated injury.
- the 2 couples are believed to have known each other
