One Killed After Stalled Vehicle Gets Hit On Freeway

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-27-23 10:58 PM
LOCATION: Southbound I-5 Just North of Beach Blvd.
CITY: Buena Park
DETAILS:

1. At or around 10:50 PM, reports were made of a stalled car in lanes of the southbound I-5 just North of Beach Boulevard in Buena Park.
2. Just six minutes later additional reports of a traffic collision came into California Highway Patrol dispatchers.
3. Units from the Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to care for any injuries, unfortunately one party was declared deceased on scene.
4. Two parties were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
5. The deceased was found lying in lanes.
6. The 4 main lanes of the I-5 will be closed for the investigation with only the carpool lane open for traffic.
