One Killed After Metrolink Train Strikes Truck in Highgrove

11.10.2020 | 6:46 PM | HIGHGROVE – A person was killed tonight after a commuter train slammed head-on into a truck Tuesday night.

Riverside County Sheriff deputies responded to the area of Main Street & Commercial Street around 6:45 PM regarding the collision.

Arriving, crews located one pickup truck mangled up against the side of the train.

One solo occupant inside the vehicle was declared deceased at scene by authorities.

It is unclear why the vehicle was on the tracks at the time of impact, and the collision is still under investigation.
