One Killed After 2 Big Rigs Crash | Houston

09.18.2021 | 3:22 AM | HOUSTON – HCSO District 3 responded to a reported fiery crash. Deputies & Channel view Fire arrived and located one vehicle on fire with one person trapped inside. Channel View Fire declared the male deceased at the scene. The deceased was driving a ford pickup The 18 wheeler was driving south. The pickup was going east. The 18 wheeler stopped at the intersection and began to proceed, the pickup ran the stop sign and struck the trailer. The driver of the 18 wheeler was uninjured. Speed is potentially a factor. There are no obvious signs of intoxication. The driver of the pickup didn’t attempt to stop (no skid marks). The eastbound service road will remain closed until further notice.
