One Fatality as Vehicle Collides with Tree and Catches Fire in Lake Forest

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7/7/23 10:19 p.m.
LOCATION: El Toro Rd & Jeronimo Rd
CITY: Lake Forest
DETAILS: One person is confirmed dead after their car was seen speeding down El Toro Rd before losing control and smashing into a tree, the car then burst into flames.  Firefighters from the OCFA were nearly three hundred feet away at the firehouse when the crash happened, however could not save the victim or victims inside.  The Orange County Sheriffs have El Toro Rd closed in both directions at this time for an unknown duration and are asking the public to use alternate routes as they complete their investigation.
