One Dead, Two Injured In Santa Ana Shooting

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on April 19, 2026, officers responded to reports of a shooting near W. Borchard Avenue and S. Sheldon Street in Santa Ana.

Upon arrival, authorities located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Three people were reportedly shot, with one person pronounced deceased at the scene and two others transported to nearby hospitals in unknown condition.

Investigators remained on scene overnight, where multiple shell casings were visible in the roadway. A portion of the area was shut down as crews worked to process the scene.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
