One Dead, Six Wounded in Shooting | South LA
01.09.2022 | 10:40 PM | SOUTH LA – Officers responded to a reported shooting at 35th and Hill at a possible underground nightclub.
Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting and started locking down the area and started looking for victims.
Firefighters and Paramedics from the LAFD were sent to a traffic accident at 31st and Hill.
When firefighters arrived at the crash they found a solo vehicle into the back of box truck with one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in full arrest inside.
LAFD paramedics loaded the victim and transported to a local hospital in grave condition.
Officers arrived and taped of the scene of the crash. Per Police Radios the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
At the same time, officers were called to California Hospital were 6 more victims suffering gunshot wounds had arrived from the scene of the shooting.
At this time, those victims conditions are unknown.
It is believed the victim involved in the crash was shot and was trying to drive himself to the hospital when he crashed.
The street in front of the building the shooting took place is covered in shell casings as the investigation begins. At this time there is no known suspect information. Homicide Detectives are en route to the scene.
