One Dead, Multiple Injured In Houston Parking Lot Shooting

At approximately 11:48 p.m. on May 26, 2026, Houston Police responded to reports of multiple people shot in the 2300 block of South Highway 6.

Responding officers located one male suffering from fatal gunshot wounds who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second male victim, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities also said a third victim, an unrelated female driver passing through the area on her way home, was injured by shattered glass after a stray bullet went through her vehicle. She was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say a large group had gathered in a parking lot before heading to a nearby lounge when multiple rounds were fired.

Police are still trying to determine whether the gunfire came from a passing vehicle or from someone inside the parking lot gathering.

The investigation remains ongoing.
