One Dead, Another Injured After 7 Car Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-2-23 8:15 PM
LOCATION: SB 605 At Carson St.
CITY: Lakewood
DETAILS:

1.  Just after 8 PM sunday night, reports of a traffic collision was reported to the California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County and Long Beach Fire Departments.
2. The initial reported a couple of vehicles were a part of the original incident but as the backup started to form additional collisions began to occur.
3. A total of 7 vehicles were involved in the overall incident.
4. One person was transported with unknown injuries to a local hospital.
5. One other person was declared deceased on scene.
6. The CHP requested a Sig-Alert for an unknown duration due to the investigation.
7. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
