Officer Shoots at Hostage Taker | San Diego

04.09.2022 | 12:23 AM | SAN DIEGO – 911 Dispatchers received a call from a frantic mother who told the Police that a man had ripped off the window screen to her 2 sons’ bedroom and attempted to enter the house.

One of her young sons’ heard and then saw the prowler and screamed.

The mother saw the prowler run to the street and get into a white mini-van and then he drove north.

Within 15 minutes, a resident called the Police stating that there was a black male who was attempting to get into his house on the 5300 blk of La Cuenta Dr. and when the security light came on, the male ran away.

The distance between the 2 homes is approx a 1/2 mile apart.

Officers and the SDPD ABLE helicopter search the area, but could not find the suspect.
