Officer Crashes While Responding To Burglary Call | Houston

05.24.2022 | 1:16 AM | HOUSTON – HPD South Central 2 officer patrol officer unit was responding code 1, with emergency lights, to a burglary in progress call. The HPD patrol vehicle was traveling northbound on Emancipation Ave. A white Toyota civilian vehicle was traveling eastbound on Jefferson St. Both collided in the intersection. Other then some minor scratches, no one was transported by ambulance. There was only a male driver in the Toyota. No signs of intoxication on driver at this time. Investigation is underway.
