Off Duty Deputy Shoots and Kills Suspect After Observing Double Murder

- On June 21st, 2025, at about 9:45 PM, Fontana PD, CHP, County Fire, and AMR responded to a report of a shooting near Summa Sushi at 15218 Summit Avenue in Fontana.
- Units arrived at the scene and located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
- A total of two people were transported, and a third person, the suspect, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
- The two victims that were transported were later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
- According to information released by Fontana PD, an off duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy observed the suspect shoot the two victims, the officer intervened, shooting and killing the suspect.
- The suspect is being described as a 45 year old male and the victims were 43 year old male, and 40 year old woman.
- No other information has been released at this time.
